What is a fake data generator?
A fake data generator produces realistic but random records such as names, emails, addresses, phone numbers and test credit cards. Developers and QA engineers use mock data to seed databases, prototype interfaces, demo dashboards and load-test applications without exposing real customer information.
How to generate mock JSON or CSV data for software testing
- Choose how many rows you need, from 10 up to 1000.
- Tick the fields to include and drag them (or use the arrows) into the order you want.
- Rename the keys so they match your schema, for example
first_nameoruserId. - Pick a locale for names, cities, streets, phone and ZIP formats.
- Open the JSON, CSV, SQL or TSV tab, then copy the output or download the file.
Supported data types
Identity and contact
First, last and full names, email, phone, username, password, date of birth and age stay consistent within each row, so an email matches its name.
Location and company
Street address, city, country, ZIP code, company name and job title follow the selected locale.
Technical values
UUID v4, IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, Luhn-valid test card numbers and Lorem Ipsum text.
Frequently asked questions
Is the generated test data private and secure?
Yes. Everything is created by JavaScript in your browser tab. Nothing is uploaded, saved on a server or tracked, and the data disappears when you close the page.
Are the credit card numbers real?
No. They only pass the Luhn checksum so they satisfy form validation. They are not tied to any account and cannot make payments.
Which locales are supported?
English, Bulgarian, German, French and Spanish presets.
Is EZFakeDataGenerator free?
Yes. It is free, needs no signup and works offline once loaded.
